The prints available here are are the last from a series of prints inspired by North Yorkshire's moorland landscape. Representing upland scenes of ling, bog, water, wide skies, stunted trees and drystone walls, they look to the horizon where the future awaits, but place us in a timeless present of longing.
Made using two plates, these prints combine aquatint and collagraph plates and are hand coloured with artists pastels. Frames are glazed with limed wood box frame surround. Both are marked as artists proofs and are unique prints. Other similar prints in this series are in private collections and the Bradford School of Art Collection.
